Microsoft launches Lumia 540 in India

It has been 6 months since Microsoft unveiled its first non-Nokia smartphone. Microsoft has now launched its upgraded version Lumia 540 in Indian market. Microsoft Lumia 540 costs Rs 1000/- more than its predecessor and some of the specifications of Lumia 540 is better than it predecessor like it has got better display, improved camera and a better battery. But the question that arises is, will Lumia 540 be the perfect budget smartphone ??

Lumia 540 has looks similar to that of Lumia 535, with the same rounded corners and changeable back covers. The right side of Lumia 540 has got power button and volume button , while top side offers 3.5mm headset jack and the bottom side offers micro-USB port.
The removable shell of Lumia 540 hides the battery , which is also removable, 2 sim card slots and 1 micro SD card slot.

In display section Lumia 540 has clearly got an upper hand from its predecessor Lumia 535. Lumia 540 has got 5 inch (720x1280p) IPS LCD display. However unlike Lumia 535, Lumia 540 does not have corning Gorilla Glass protection. So, the phone may be prone to scratches.

Micromax subsidy YU has launched Yu Yuphoria on 12th May 2015. The first phone launched by Micromax YU was Yu Yureka.
